The Downtown Bradenton Public Market
Outdoor farmer's markets make me smile. I think it's a combination of the people walking their dogs, the fresh flower bouquets, the lingering food aromas near the various food tents, and the vibrant art lining the streets. Every Saturday, the Downtown Bradenton Public Market has all of these things and more!
I've been going to the market for years, and I think this year's is the best yet. There were so many new vendors and also many familiar faces. Some of my favorite things the last time I went were the wild mushrooms at Petrichor Mushrooms, the lumpia shanghai at Rock N Eggroll, and the onsite stylings of Starr Mentality Mobile Boutique (her jean jackets are amazing!).
The local artwork is also so eye catching. I loved seeing the variety of art vendors and their work. There was handpainted glassware, ocean-life metal sculptures, watercolor paintings, and so much more. The market is the perfect place to find a local or Florida-inspired gift to share with friends or family.
The Downtown Bradenton Public Market is located on Old Main Street in Downtown Bradenton every Saturday, from now until May, from 9am to 2pm. The street is closed off to vehicle traffic from Manatee Ave to Third Ave. with free parking nearby. Go and check it out, you won't be disappointed you did!
