On the opposite side of the spectrum, Lakewood National is located only a short distance away from Siesta Key. Siesta Key is ranked the number one beach in America by TripAdvisor for good reason. This beautiful beach includes volleyball courts as well as ample room to set up a chair and relax. But the beautiful weather and white sands aren’t the only things that make this paradise so amazing. Every Sunday just before sundown, the Siesta Key drum circle comes to life. People from all across the island come together to dance and enjoy each other’s company. After a day of fun on the beach, enjoy beachside dining and live music and one of Siesta’s many bars or restaurants.  Whether you are looking for fine dining such as Ophelia’s on the Bay, or a more casual option like Siesta Key Oyster Bar, Siesta Key offers a wide variety of dining options that will please any palette. This island town draws people from all over the world.

Everything not included in the excitement of Tampa or the relaxation of Siesta Key can be found in Sarasota. This fast-growing city is becoming a popular home for art and culture in south Florida. Whether you’re visiting the Ringling Museum to learn about the famous Ringling Brothers circus, attending a play at the Van Wezel, or stopping by one of the many studios downtown, Sarasota is overflowing with different arts and cultures.  Sarasota is also home to many excellent dining options covering a wide variety of cuisines and cooking styles. From the classic Hyde Park Steakhouse, to the delicious Peruvian eatery Selva, Sarasota is home to some of the best food around.
