Good Eats Near Lakewood National! Part 1: Lakewood National
Everybody eats. Of course we all love home cooked meals, but sometimes it’s nice to go out and enjoy dinner in town. This is one of the best things about homes and condos for sale in Lakewood National, delicious food is always near. In this series, I’m going to break down the cuisines closest to Lakewood National, as well as options in Sarasota and Tampa.
Today we’re going to take a look at the phenomenal dining options right on our front doorstep. I had the delicious task of eating my way through the area and I was not disappointed. All of the restaurants were fabulous and they’re just a few minutes away. I went to Full Belly Stuffed Burgers, Another Broken Egg Café, and Michael John’s Restaurant. These restaurants can satisfy any food cravings you might have.
The first restaurant I visited was Full Belly Stuffed Burgers. This hole in the wall had an amazing vibe to it. From the bar and open kitchen to the colorful “Full Belly” logo on the wall, there was no shortage of personality. This is not your average burger joint. The whole concept behind these stuffed burgers is nothing short of genius.
This innovative concept takes all of the classic burgers and puts their own twist on it. Each burger has the toppings diced and made into the patties. Then each burger is stuffed with the cheese of your choice. As if this wasn’t enough, they also offer macaroni and cheese with your choice of cheese and toppings. So whether you wanted bleu cheese and bacon burger or a smoked gouda and roasted red pepper mac and cheese, this is the place for you.
The second stop on my culinary adventure was Another Broken Egg. This local breakfast spot is home to come of the best food to start your day. As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Another Broken Egg knows what we love. They also have a large selections of pancakes, waffles, and omelettes. The peach cobbler pancakes with honey-roasted granola, peach compote and whipped cream is delicious and the Floridian omelette with cream cheese, garlic sautéed crabmeat, Monterey jack cheese, and green onion is terrific. And for those of us who might not be up in time for breakfast, Another Broken egg has an extensive brunch menu featuring a lobster brie omelette and crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. One of the best things about this restaurant is their ever changing seasonal menu. Their “Fall Farmers’ Market” menu boasts a delicious shrimp, crawfish, and andouille stuffed omelette as well as the carrot “pan” cake stack combo. There is no better a place for breakfast and we could not be happier to have it right down the road.
The last restaurant on my tour of good eats was the spectacular Michael John’s Restaurant. This French-American steakhouse opened in 2006 and has since become a local favorite. Using French and American flavors together, their signature dishes include Michael’s French mussels in a garlic and white wine butter broth, Prime Delmonico Ribeye, and Maryland lump crab cakes with a red chili aioli. As tempting as these were, I decided to go with the raspberry and port wine glazed duck and I was absolutely blown away. There was a tremendous depth of flavor and I could not have been more impressed. Everything down to the mixed vegetables were well seasoned and delicious. The designers of the restaurant were able to strike a perfect balance between upscale cuisine and relaxed Florida dining. This restaurant is perfect for anything from a business meeting to a first date.
These are just a few of the restaurants right outside our home. The condos and homes for sale in Lakewood National give us the unique ability to have a variety of foods just down the road. This is what makes Lakewood National Real Estate so impressive. Whether you want Sunday brunch, and juicy burger for lunch, a night out with someone special, we have it all.
